Hello Wonderlust Fashionistas,
My name is Lucia, the founder of the brand ”Basic To Glam Chic Travels”. I have lived in two different countries and traveled to dozens more, both solo (highly recommend) and with family and friends. I love exploring different cultures and immersing myself into their lifestyles and I have created a Digital Nomad lifestyle, something I have always wanted to have.
Welcome to my little haven, Basic To Glam Chic Travels, a website that encompasses fashion and travel, where I get to share what I love with the world ………… here I get to fulfill the desires of my heart.
The name, Basic To Glam Chic, is not a misnomer, but symbolic of a lifestyle {you can transform anything from basic to Glam!}.
WHY FASHION?
My journey in fashion is not one that started just the other day, growing up, fashion has been something I’ve always dreamt of doing since I was a little girl, to be precise I used to design clothes in my pre-teen years (gosh where did I throw my sketches) until reality struck me in high school that I gotta have good grades and go to University! and I switched my dreams ……… fast-forward… I’m back to my childhood dreams after accomplishing all my goals or rather what I was expected to accomplish; (I attained a BSc. Mathematics and I’m an Auditor by Profession)….. but now I’m not designing the clothes…. I’ll be wearing them! That’s cool enough for me.
WHY TRAVEL?
In simple words, I’m a CERTIFIED TRAVEL ADDICT! Nothing gives me pleasure than traveling to new places and learning about their history, culture, food, language and most importantly, making new friends.
Travel is the thing that makes me feel the most alive. It sets my senses on fire!
Without adventures or a curiosity to venture toward somewhere new and different to home, we would be rootless and lost, infact I tend to think that traveling and gaining the experiences that comes with interacting with different people, cultures etc, does bring peace amongst us….it’s a whole topic of convo but I must say, everything done for the good can be abused and used for the bad, so sadly, some people use traveling in the wrong way…. ANYWHOOOOO 🙄
Travel is what makes me happy.
I created the Basic To Glam Chic Travels brand because I wanted to help people travel more + travel better.
I felt that sharing my experiences, my perspectives, my mistakes, and my advice would contribute a little bit to making the travel experience better for some people, and better in the long run for some of the people and places I visit along the way.
I wanted travellers like you to use what I write and what I photograph as a handbook to craft your own memories + adventures out on the road.

WHY BLOG?
As for blogging, writing has always been the lover I never had, it is the one place I found peace and joy. Way back when I was still a Pre-teen I read tons and tons of books from all walks of life, from Mills and Boons to Danielle Steele, Jackie Collins to you name them and I don’t mean to blow my trumpet but I attained the highest score in my final exams in English in the country — 99% (Up-to this day I still want to know why I missed the 1% 😂 😂 ). Hence, I decided to join both my passions and see what comes forth, thus the birth of this Travel & Fashion blog! What to expect in my TRAVEL & FASHION BLOG:
