VOLTERRA, Tuscany
Volterra is one of those pretty old , and by old I mean run far back as during the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval periods, yeah … pretty pretty ol’. But you know what they say, Ol’ is Gold! Yes, Volterra is a beautiful ancient walled mountaintop town in the Tuscan Region of Italy.
I’ve travelled to many regions in Italy, and I can safely say that Tuscany comes in at 2nd place after Lazio of course, why, because Rome is in Lazio, Rome, the Eternal City is a city of dreams! Rome is justified to take 1st place, I mean, there’s the 2000-year-old COLOSSEUM! being the largest Amphitheatre in the world and still standing! Then there’s the majestic all-gods PANTHEON! For the love birds, there’s the TREVI FOUNTAIN (I live in Italy because of the “Trevi legend”)! For the ancient ruin lovers, there are the ROMAN FORUMS! As for the lovers of arts and sculptures, Rome has the FOUNTAIN OF FOUR RIVERS, the beautiful PIAZZA’S ( Squares) to just chill, Rome’s got you covered ….. guys, I could really go on and on shamelessly without tire, but we are here about Volterra in Tuscany. If you feel me, check my ROMAN BLOGS, then you’ll feel exactly what I feel.
Why I love Tuscany so much …
On a serious note tho, I need to go back to Tuscany like ASAP! Tuscany is the birthplace of the Reinassance and boy ohh boy, there are lots that I need to uncover there. I need to see everything that I imagined when I watched the Medici, the Borgias and Da Vinci demons! I gotta go there this summer …. Florence here I come!
If you’d like a virtual tour of Volterra, watch my video below. If Tuscany is a dream travel wish-list, watch MONTEPULCIANO and if you want a great place to just chill and literally get all those troubles off your skin, BAGNI SAN FILIPPO will help with that, they have some natural hot springs, think of them like natural jacuzziìs gifted by mother nature. I went there, it’s B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L, but try to get there as early as possible to get the best hot spots and largest spaces.
Stay safe, travel more, be happy!
Ciao, a dopo!
